Bell pepper plant

Three weeks ago I went to Spain on holiday for two weeks. Before I left, I gave my plants to a friend so she could take care of them. My bell pepper plant, then only a little stick with 2 leafs, grew so much! I was so happy when I came back and saw this. Look at how pretty and tall he is now, I'm so proud! :-)

The reason I'm so happy is because after using a bell pepper for my spaghetti, I took one seed and put it in a little pot with some ground. After only a few days it already started to sprout! So I'm realy happy he's growing so fast. Can't wait to eat his fruit ;-)

Soft baby toy

Made a soft toy for a colleague who's expecting a baby boy. I got this idea from a DIY site, makeit-loveit.com. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
This one is really tiny, only 10 cm. It was realy hard to make but it paid off :-)

After making this one, two more followed. I made these a little bigger and they were easier to make.

Apple cake

One of my favorite cakes is apple cake, little ingredients and easy to make. Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea. You can make it for a birthday party, kids love it too. Or just an afternoon treat for yourself. I've made it so often that I know by heart how to make it.
And now you can too :-)

Here's what you'll need:

200g flour

200g butter

200g sugar

5 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. baking powder

2 apples

baking mold +/- 25 cm

Here's how to make it:

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Whisk flour, baking powder and sugar in a bowl until combined. Melt the butter in the microwave on very low heat, check every 15 sec. if it's melted. Pour the melted butter in the big bowl and mix with a fork. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until you have a smooth batter. Fold in the chopped apples. Pour the batter in the mold and put it in the oven for about 50min. Bake until the cake is lightly golden on top and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Remove from oven and set aside for 10 minutes. Serve with a scoop of ice cream ;-) Enjoy!

Knitting needle pouch

Yay, my first item on demand! A colleague of mine asked me to make her a pouch for her knitting needles and her crochet needles. I allready made the knitting pouch and this is the result:

I showed her some pictures on FB this weekend and she's very happy with it! And if my client is happy, than I am SUPER happy :-D
